Our small team of skilled artisans puts extra care into each of our products. We make every item by hand in our Seattle studio, which doubles as our flagship retail store. Because we specialize in custom handbags, we stitch each piece to order, adding pockets, embellishments and special touches such as vintage buttons and ribbon trims.

When you visit our store, you'll be able to choose a bag from our selection of one-of-a-kind readymade samples. Or you can work with one of our stylists to create your own LBD original. The process is easy: first you choose a shape from our wide array of styles. Then we'll guide you as you select each material, pocket arrangement, and embellishment.

Some of our favorite special projects include bridal party evening bags, purses that feature customers' vintage family photographs, and one-offs that utilize fabrics cut from heirloom garments. We can work with fabric that you provide, or you can find inspiration from our vast, ever-changing collection of textiles.

Because we make most items to order, our lead time is generally 2-4 weeks depending on our production schedule and the season. If you are in a rush for that special present, we suggest giving a gift card for a custom design, redeemable on our website or in our shop.
